CollectorSelector: Charles Bradley "The Screaming Eagle of Soul" and his Extraordinaires (aka Menahan Street Band)...

Here are a few 45's I picked up at a couple of Charles Bradley shows. Coincidentally, both shows were on 4-20! Go figure. The first 45 I picked up after seeing them at Workplay in Birmingham, AL on April 20, 2012. I was lucky enough to get the last copy of him covering Neil Young's 'Heart of Gold'. He does a massive version of the song and the Menahan Street Band arrangement is a classic! The rest of the 45's I picked up at the Waverly Boogie in Waverly, AL on 4-20-2013. It also happened to be Auburn A-Day. It was a very special day all around! If you haven't seen Charles Bradley, I recommend you do it as soon as possible. Not only is he an amazing performer, but his band The Extraordinaires, are every bit as amazing. They also record under the name The Menahan Street Band and are responsible for the awesome sample on Jay-Z's 'Roc Boys' song. Download link below. Enjoy...
